How can you fit them in? Day trips, road trips, and short weekend getaways work best during the school year and busy family seasons.

The best trips for us tend to be the ones we get to tell people all about, but they’re something they haven’t heard of before. Touring the White House and traveling into a coal mine top the list. But we also love Lake Placid in the winter and summer.

A: Most trips are best for school-aged kids ages 5+, but many work for kids of all ages so the whole family can have a great time.

A: Yes! Along with outdoor activities, fun museums with interactive museums, and kid-friendly attractions that don’t require a full vacation week.
